It also means belonging to a community of men and women who share human and Christian values such as faith, hope and charity.

The sacraments of forgiveness, Eucharist and Confirmation are a key part of this journey.

Catechism classes are held at the basilica-cathedral in the evenings. There are groups for young people as well as others for adults, because yes, even as an adult, it's never too late to follow the way of Jesus.

If you'd like to take the adult course to get married in the Catholic Church, you'll need to register for your baptism two years before your wedding date.​

If you are a parent or parent-to-be and would like your child to be baptized, it's important to know that the child's aspiring godparents must be baptized and confirmed, and over 16 years of age. To be baptized, you need to make arrangements two years in advance, and to be confirmed, several months in advance. We therefore advise you to give your aspiring godparents sufficient notice so that they have enough time to take the necessary steps.
